Last weekend, RJ and I trekked to Richland to hang with the family during these hot, hot days in north Texas. I think they had experienced ten straight days of triple digits so why the heck not go to Richland to sweat it out with them? Honey and Granddad left on Saturday to go to a wedding in GlenRose. I can't even remember what Caren and I did. I think we stayed inside and watched Failure to Launch. I've gotten so used to being somewhat far away from RJ at night so that when we were right next to each other I could hear her every wimper starting at two-ish a.m. .. but who really knows what time it is. The alarm clock never seems to be set to the right time and who am I to adjust it? I'm on vacation.
One of my favorite parts about being in Richland is hearing that 5o'clock train roar by in the pitch black dark. The dogs (and there are some 15 dogs) howl right back with the lonely whistle.

Sweet as Honey... ;) Your mom looks great as always. Seeing that set of pics makes me really miss spending time with your family. I could use a nice A/C movie weekend on the couch in Richland right about now. LOVE YOU...
Thanks for the tip, Brad. One of those "h's" was a clear and plain typo, the rest of just plain ignorance. ;-) Hope you found all kinds of treasures during your unpacking escapades...
