Watch the video to see the little spat between Hanky and Rosie. Just when you think it can't get any worse... Rosa Jane cracks a smile . . .

Being So Very Silly
Rosa Jane is as the age where you just want to squeeze her to death every waking moment. She's so darn cute! She is conversing with us, putting together short sentences, identifying objects: Me, Mommy's, Hanky's, Daddy's, etc. She'll walk a mile to pet a cat, just not on rocks, please. She eats raisins like nobody's business and I suspect she'd try to survive on fruit alone.
Check out the pictures of Rosa Jane just two days before turning 20 months.

I'm Terribly Sorry
Dear Flt 316 Houston to Austin,
Rosa Jane and I are deeply sorry for the disturbance we caused on the entire flight. My baby missed her usual nap, you see, so the extra strain of up and down in 40 minutes was just enough to put her into a screaming fit for the duration. You'll all be glad to know she fell asleep at the baggage claim area and slept for a good hour thereafter.
And besides we had a great time in Liberty, sorry you couldn't have seen us in a happier mood.
Love,
The Cute and Cuddly Roedners

There's a distinct difference between the Worst Dog in the World and
Hanky eats like there's no tomorrow. He's never been particular -- he'll eat fruit, nuts, vegetables and eggs not to mention steak.
He's never been much of a so-called "chewer". He prefers to gulp his food.
That's why I was so surprised to see a grapeless stem on the floor. Somehow he picked the grapes off the stem, yet didn't chew them. I know this because we left him inside alone for a bit. When we came home from our walk around the neighborhood this morning, Hank was waiting patiently by the door.
When RJ opened the door, he bolted for the yard only to promptly throw up the whole grapes.
So, there's the difference, ladies and gentlemen.
There's a real thoughtful dog.

Rosa Jane and Kate at the Wildflower Center
Man, we've been busy! Check out this action packed set as we crisscross town doing all the cool stuff!
Rosa Jane hasn't been at 100% this week which has been kinda nice -- it means less of a toronado and more of a cuddle bear. I've enjoyed my time with her so much I kept her home from preschool earlier this week. However, it's back on track tomorrow as my list of things to do has grown to the length of my arm.

Once in a while
HOME
Swing Low, Sweet Chariot.
Coming for to carry me home.
Swing Low, Sweet Chariot
Coming for to carry me home.
I looked over Jordan, and what did I see?
Coming for to carry me home?
A band of angels coming after me.
Coming for to carry me home.
Swing low.
We've been singing this to the little peanut each night at bedtime since the very beginning. Just recently she has begun to ask for it by name by saying, "HOME?"
She can also pick out the word home from the song played during the Chicago slideshow I put together for her last year.
It's safe to say she likes this place called home and so do we.

Graduates, Turn Ya Tassles!
I have writer's block. Nothing interesting to write comes to mind. I'll just have to leave it that we had a wonderful time celebrating all the pixie's accomplishments in Ann Arbor without any of the hassle of moving her stuff. Sweet deal, eh? Rosa Jane-on-a-Stick was a big hit with Rosa Jane herself, as well as other babies and kids whose parents were brave enough to bring them along to all the ceremonies.
Bill Clinton gave an inspiring address to an unsecured audience. No one could believe that it really was tougher to watch a Michigan football game than to get into the stadium to watch commencement ceremony with an Ex-president speaker. Thankfully, there were no mishaps and the event turned downright sunny by the end.
My friend Lisa is visiting from San Francisco and took pictures of a busy, busy RJ toddler for the national campaign at Picture People this morning. We'll see if she ends up in a mailbox near you. At least she was happy. We took Hank, too... and that just turned out to be a bad deal. He's so damn manic! But I suppose it could have been worse -- peeing and poopin' everywhere or just plain bolting out the door. He didn't do any of that... so I am thankful.
Now I'm off to enjoy the rest of my day as baby-free. AHHH, what a relief it is to be without a walking toronado for a few precious moments.
