Because I really hate being taken advantage of in a business/customer relationship, here is the letter I will be mailing today. Read and Heed, My Friends!!

Dear Jessica,
Thank you for contacting us regarding Enterprise File Number DX6520435.
As you have coerced, I have enclosed the check for $475.20.
We are dissatisfied Enterprise customers and will take our future business elsewhere. After we broadcast this news to our friends and family, you will lose their nationwide business as well.
We feel that we were unfairly charged and were not given options for the repair work. How do we know you didn’t get the most expensive quote imaginable and use that one? We have leased cars repeatedly and are never charged $475 for minor bumper repair work. How outrageous!
Enterprise should be ashamed of this file record. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau in the matter.
Thank you for settling our records. I hope you have a nice day and are never taken advantage of in this way. It’s not nice.
Good luck! (If it can happen to us, it can happen to you, too.)
Sincerely,
Kristen Roedner

New Bloggers
Fire up all you Buttercuppers!
We got a new blog to read: Emo & the City.
KBR and Erin were pals in Beantown while Kristen advised the Tri Delta's at Boston University.
Also, I updated my childhood friend's link and affectionately called it, The Garfield Gang. I may not be able to remember much about my past, but I do remember in the second grade Laurie and I created a members only sticker-collecting group and called it Garfield Gang. Laurie and I have been through so much together and after years of going different ways we're now finally closer together. Separated by about 50 miles and that's just nothing when it comes to true friends and Texas highways.
Although she doesn't update her blog that much, you'll be glad to know the link now works.
Bye now.

Taking communication to a whole new level
Last week I asked aloud to anyone that could hear, "Where are my tennis shoes?"
Rosa Jane answered, "n da baffroom."
Really?
Shore enough there they were.
I was blown away.
Over the weekend, Don was playing with the Peanut and writing names for her on a note pad. He started with "Mommy", then RJ would ask for "Daddy", "Hanky" "Pixie", then out of the blue she asked for "outside" and "couch" to be written.
Yesterday she was playing as she usually does. She would whine about something and I'd ask aloud to anyone that could hear, "What's wrong, peanut?"
Rosa Jane answered, "I hurt foot."
She's speaking six word sentences. I'm not lying or just trying to brag. I think she might be a freak. She's not even two yet.

Rosa Jane on Fast Forward
Pictured is Rosa Jane from one year ago this week. I decided to compile a set of pictures from one a month over the last 23 months. I just looked at the set I made and there are 169 photos... sooo it looks like I have some editing to do to get it down to one a month. Let's see how I do. Check out the set and watch RJ grow!
It's like getting one of those toys you put into water and it grows before your very eyes!

8 insights to what I do behind the scenes
The Rules:
1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules. (**if you’re a non-blogger, you can email them!)
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
My eight random facts and/or habits:
1. I love playing games. I'll make up my own games and tell other people the rules. I'll change the rules if I have to in order to KEEP ON WINNING! Some of my favorite games were while living in crowded ol' Charlestown we'd play the double-letter car game like a SAAB was a double A, JEEP a double E, NISSAN a double S,
PASSAT a double S, JETTA a double T, the list goes on and on and when you drive past a million parked cars on the street, it was a great way to keep from getting clausterphobic.
Another great Boston game was called "Dunk It." On every street corner there is a Dunkin Donuts. The game was modelled after BOOZE IT -- you see a billboard or beer can and first one to call Booze it gets a point. Well, it wasn't just the actual DD stores in Boston, but you'd see trash everywhere... old coffee cups or Dunkin Donuts napkins in the gutters. Those counted, too. And I was a hawkeye for finding the goods.
2. I won best overall mascot at USA Mascot Cheer Camp in high school. All the other mascots did flips in their full-blown mascot suits. All I had was a paper bag over my head with holes punched out for the eyes and I went to town!
3. Don and I love words. We love playing with words and pokin' fun at others how they use words. It keeps us laughing when times grow stressful for whatever the reason.
4. I recently tried to give up diet coke. I am back on it with a vengence.
5. I could play frisbee with my favorite dog all day long.
6. I can't tolerate alcohol beverages anymore. One makes me very, very, very sleepy. Night night.
7. I could take pictures all day long day after day after day after day and love every stinkin' minute of it. I love figuring out difficult lighting situations and I really love capturing that perfect expression from Rosa Jane or anyone else for that matter.
8. I love excel spreadsheets. I love that it does the math for you and I feel exhilarated after figuring out just how soon we'll be out of debt forever. Yeah, right... well, at least until that buying urge for either of us becomes too strong to resist any more.
Ok...it is your turn Sally, Don, Katherine, Honey, Nicole, Hilary, Amy H, Cheryl and Laurie.

Rosa Jane Learns New Tricks
Lately we've been playing the game "Raise Your Hand If You..." eat raisins, for example. Rosa Jane is really cute at it and she's gotten to saying "I do!" so preciously, if that's a word. Just recently she named her first baby doll "Baby Caren." We're not completely sure if this comes from "Aunt C", but we'll toss her a bone and say it is. ;-)

Rosa Jane steps on Brett's Crab
Normally I would have done something to stop Rosa Jane from hurting Brett's feelings like this. But Rosa Jane and I both knew that the previous day RJ took a little tumble on the stairs on account of Brett's shove. Since she wasn't really stomping the dead crab, I thought it was okay if she just rested her foot upon it. At any rate it made for some hilarious pictures from animated Brett.

Jennifer and Reghan
A brief glimpse at this cute Mother/Daughter team. ;-)
On a side note, I'm pleased to report Rosa Jane and I had our first Mommy/Daughter makeover this morning. She was still enough so that we could paint all our toes orange! When given the choice between pink and orange, Rosa Jane picked orange.
Stay tuned . . .

Meet Will and Caroline
They are our cousins who live in Colorado. We were so happy they came to Austin for the weekend and we were able to drop in on them on our way out of town.
Our trip to Galveston was the longest ever. We left at 11am and pulled into the beach house around 6:30. We had to wait an hour fifteen minutes for the ferry from Galveston and the traffic through Houston was stop and go even at 2:30. Even though RJ screamed for a good three hours of the trip, we stopped by our friends from Boston who have since moved to Houston. It turns out their beautiful home is real near my high school friend's house, too. They were real nice to accommodate a little dog poo in their yard and an adorable, but snotty nosed toddler.
So now we're at the beach and we're throwing all our cares to the wind.
See ya!
