Yesterday was a pretty fun day for us. We received the Miracle Blanket in the mail. This was a product which was recommended by our good friend, Sally Gulde. We wrapped up little miss Rosa Jane last night about midnight and boy oh boy did she sleep well! She only woke us once at 4:20 for a 20 minute feeding and then she was quickly back down and out of it. What a relief!!! I was just about to lose it with her three hour spells of wakefulness in the dark hours. She was tired and would want to sleep, but she would be jolted back awake by her sudden arm movements. The swaddle keeps her warm and secure, just like she always wanted. Just like we always wanted!

The other thing that made me really happy yesterday was this handheld vacuum called The Shark. Woo-doggies does it ever clean up doghair on the stairs. Clean stuff makes me feel good.

Lola has always been a fan of being swaddled. A friend gave us the Miracle Blanket, but we found it a little hard to use. We found an even better version at Babies-R-Us called the Swaddle Me blanket. It has velcro tabs and comes in polar fleece. It was so simple to use and Lola loved it. She just outgrew the small size late last week, and we spent our first weekend un-swaddled. She still made it through the night. She loves to suck on her hands for comfort, so she was getting a bit frustrated having them restrained. You might want to try this version too.
Kat, thanks for the tip. I'll look into it if this one doesn't hold up. Isn't it amazing how quickly their collection of stuff just grows and grows and grows! It's more than a little scary.
